Define Job Evaluation

What is job evaluation? How is position analysis relevant to job evaluation?

Job Evaluation: The methods and practices of ordering jobs or positions with respect to their value or worth to the organization. Summarize the overall purpose of the position and why it is necessary within the organization. The summary should be a concise description of the total position and should include only the most significant aspect of why the position exists in terms of its goals and objectives and its purpose.
